Matthew is a Research Assistant with the Global Disease Modelling team. His background is in computing and data science, graduating with a degree in Advanced Computer Science (Honours) from UWA in 2025. Matthew has a passion for health and medical research, completing his Honours project in collaboration with the Rare Disease Genetics and Functional Genomics Group at the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research. This project involved benchmarking a noise correction model to assist with identifying biologically meaningful interactions between regulatory regions on the same chromosome, caused by DNA folding.
