Damijan is a research assistant who works with Professor Francis Mitrou, Dr Vincent Mancini and Johanna Rewa to reduce tech-based abuse against women in regional Western Australia. Growing up rurally himself, Damijan understands how challenging regional life can be and wants to aid in the development of resources to help support those who might be struggling.
Damijan has previously studied the role of motivation and control on fear of heights within a virtual reality environment and has travelled overseas to Nepal to volunteer in a palliative care setting. Damijan is very passionate about youths’ mental health, and he aims to make a meaningful impact with his work.
