The Koolungar (children) Moorditj (strong) Healthy Skin project is the first ever co-designed research-service Australian study to describe skin health in urban-living Aboriginal koolungar.

Our skin, the body’s largest organ, protects us and maintains overall health. Untreated recurring skin infections like impetigo and scabies severely impact children. The Kids is at the forefront of combatting skin infections, particularly within remote Aboriginal communities experiencing some of the world’s highest rates.

A decade long partnership with Wesfarmers Ltd. and the Wesfarmers Centre of Vaccines and Infectious Diseases has led to world-class paediatric research and important collaborations fuelling the Centre’s trajectory towards easing the burden of infectious diseases.
